Fundamentals of Somatics EN
Discover and strengthen your 'felt body' resources (KOMPASS funding for self-employed individuals)
Each module is dedicated to a specific topic – ground / space / individuation / communication / change / initiation – which forms the basis for the selected physical practices and theoretical input. The modules build on each other and gradually enable the contents of the body-oriented learning approaches to take effect, leading to an embodied understanding of the material. Consciously going through human biological development (movement and language development) enables the recognition of potential and repressed aspects in the learning process and allows bridges to be rebuilt in the integration of perception, thinking, feeling and action.
The training leads to a deeper, more refined experience of one's own body through an increase in body (self) awareness (interoception, proprioception, the 6th sense). One's own learning experience and the somatic-embodied penetration of the principles of somatic approaches also represent the indispensable prerequisite for their further transmission. The interplay of the somatic methods in this training course offers a special variety of perspectives for expanding the participants' previous field of action.
Ausführliche Seminarinformationen
The training course is aimed at people who are interested in the basics of somatics, i.e. body-awareness-oriented methods, and who would like to learn about and deepen their knowledge of these methods across a broad spectrum. It is also suitable for people who would like to integrate aspects of somatics into their professional work (e.g. in the fields of acting, performance, education, social work, art, psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, body therapy methods, etc.).
The basics of somatics are taught in the setting of 8 methods (Continuum, Middendorf Breathing, Feldenkrais Method®, Experiential Anatomy, BMC®, Somatic Yoga, Authentic Movement, Somatic Voice) as a variety of methods of somatic movement offerings.
Benefits for participants:
Participants will learn about a networked variety of somatic methods in practical teaching units, enabling them to gradually familiarise themselves with the basic principles of body-based educational approaches and integrate them physically (embodiment).
In the training course, participants will experience and deepen their understanding of the principles and approaches of the following somatic methods:
- Continuum
- Feldenkrais Method®
- Experiential Breathing according to Prof. Ilse Middendorf
- Body-Mind Centering®
- Experiential Anatomy
- Authentic Movement
- Somatic Yoga
- Somatic Voice
Based on each module focus (ground, space, individuation, communication, change, initiation), we explore and experience corresponding body systems, effective principles, movement patterns, biological and psychological stages of development, and their personal and social relevance.
In doing so, we take advantage of the fact that our physical development is directly connected and interacts with our conscious development. Experience and reflection give us access to this.
We create a space of emotional safety and integrate group dynamic processes as support in the individual learning process.
