- Body-Mind Centering®
Series in autumn // Stability, mobility and wellbeing
Where classical movement trainings for stability focus on muscle strength, in the BMC classes we invite you to experience the bone system in movement and touch in order to find stability in the bones and thereby relieve the muscles. The bones are the hardest structure of the body. They give our body a certain shape and create levers for the muscles to move us.
The bones are embedded in the muscular-fascial tissue through a tensegrity principle and are therefore in a constant interplay. In our series of classes we will explore basic principles of the skeleton, explore functional movement interactions and discover movement qualities of the bones.
The classes include the following elements in different sequences: personal movement improvisations, attuning to content somatization, guided movements, "hands on" (alone or with others), integration in movement/dance/play, exchange. As a participant you have space for somatic immersion and exploration and can pay attention to what you need for your own well-being.
