- Body-Mind Centering® Week Berlin
In Relation To - Self, Other and Everything In Between | 12 BMC® classes | individual sessions | 4 day tickets, day tickets and drop in classes
The Body-Mind Centering® Week in Berlin offers the opportunity to get to know various facilitators in one place and experience 12 BMC® classes plus one day especially focused on BMC® individual sessions. This year’s title “In Relation To – Self, Other & Everything In Between” captures the heart of Body-Mind Centering® - the interplay of inner and outer, self and other, always in motion. It speaks to how awareness unfolds through these shifting relationships, opening pathways for connection and transformation.
What is BMC®?
In BMC® we explore the dynamic connections between body, state of mind, consciousness, thoughts and feelings. By engaging with anatomical information, movement, touch and sensations the structures, tissues and spaces in the body are made tangible.
The Body-Mind Centering® approach strengthens self-awareness and resilience. It helps in recovering from stress and exhaustion and fosters trust in the body’s own intelligence.
Who is this course for?
• Classes are open to people of different ages and abilities, welcoming both beginners and those wishing to deepen their BMC® practice.
• Anyone who wants to get to know Body-Mind Centering® as an approach to explore body and mind as a source of movement, expression, connection and creativity.
• Anyone who likes to recover from stress and exhaustion, gain self-awareness and resilience and encourage trust in the body’s own intelligence.
• Dancers, performing artists, bodyworkers and therapists who want to explore the BMC® approach and enrich their own practices.

Class descriptions
Nina Wehnert
In Relation to Space
We will explore our inner fluid movements in relation to our internal spaces and the environment
around us. Through the lens of embryology we will explore the movement of our bloodflow and the
subtle, light fluidity of the cerebral spinal fluid to deepen our physical understanding of our internal
dynamics in relation to the external world. At the core of this exploration is the principle of yield—
softening and letting go in order to receive—both within ourselves and in connection to the space
around us.
Judith Wolff
Taking and Giving, Yearning and Letting go: Breath as Space of Experience
Breathing is fundamental for sustaining and nourishing life. At the same time, it is always a
dynamic of giving and receiving in exchange. In this workshop, we explore different qualities of the
basic needs of taking in and giving out, starting from the biochemical and physical processes of our
breathing we discover fundamental patterns of our being.
Satu Palokangas
Placenta: An Organ of Transition and Relationship
In this class we will spend time meeting and greeting this often forgotten organ of placenta, which
we created as an embryo to essentially function as our early lungs, liver, gut, kidneys and
endocrine glands. How may their echo in our bodies still support our sense of connection,
belonging and transformation?
Julia Kleinknecht
Fabric of Encounter
All inner and outer surfaces of our body are covered or lined by highly specialised multilayered
structures, the so called epithelia. We’ll explore the quality of those places of permeability and
protection.
Odile Seitz
The Cell Membrane, a Microstructure with Macro Properties
Delving into the world of cells is like entering a boundless space, experiencing the origin of various
physiological processes, and encountering the potential to recognize and expand one's own
familiar paths.
Vesna Hetzel
The Kidneys - Presence, Flow, Vibration
We will explore different qualities of the kidneys as organs, and their relation to the endocrine
glands, vibration and breathing. How can our bodies kidneys support the presence, clarity and flow
of our movements?
Heike Kuhlmann
Connexion and Connectivity
Finding connexion within myself is the foundation for building connexions with others. The fascial
system and the tensegrity model reveal the hidden web of connectivity woven into our very being.
From these internal connexions we zoom out discovering other connexions and the world around
us, looking for an embodied connectivity.
Susanne Taprogge
Inside & Outside
How can I hold space for myself while being present and in relation to the environment? In this
class we explore the fluid dance between inside and outside from a cellular perspective.
Nina Spiri & Jennie Zimmermann
In Relation to
A space to sense into the co-existence of being at rest within oneself and being in contact with
others and an invitation to explore “In Relation To – Self, Other & Everything In Between”.
Laura Gary
Alignment – From Embryo to Present
We explore alignment between front and back, supported by embryological traces that have
shaped the body since the beginning. In movement and in the present body, new possibilities for
alignment, clarity, and support can emerge.
Jens Johannsen
Cells and Expanded Consciousness – How Inner Work is Connected to Everything
In BMC® it is always about relationship. In this class, we explore our possibilities of breathing,
vibration, mind, and movement as ways of living it.
Ka Rustler
Bonding, Safety and Comfort
Yield and Push are part of the first patterns through which we meet the world - yielding offers
support and connection, pushing creates space and direction. We explore how these forces shape
movment, perception and the ability to navigate boundaries with clarity and care.
Individual BMC® Session
Individual sessions take place in comfortable clothes on a bodywork-table or on the floor. Using
movement, various qualities of touch and verbal dialogue, different areas of the body can be
sensed and explored in a gentle and curious way and supported in their potential. Individual
sessions are the frame to bring your awareness to personal themes and questions.
As part of the festival, there will be an opportunity to book an individual session with a BMC®
practitioner in Berlin at a special price. These sessions are optional, are paid for separately, and
take place in the respective practice rooms of each practitioner. Sessions can be booked via email
