Jean-Charles Vallet

UNFOLD® Teacher, Facilitator, Performer, Stage Actor

Jean-Charles Vallet is a French UNFOLD teacher and performer based in Berlin. After ten years working as a stage actor and performer, he became increasingly interested in questions of presence, coordination and effortless action. Initially drawn to the Alexander Technique in 2018 to improve both his stage work and resolve recurring physical issues, he discovered the UNFOLD Method in 2020. Its integration of Alexander principles with movement exploration, anatomy and creative practice deeply resonated with his own artistic research. >From 2023 to 2026, Jean-Charles trained directly with UNFOLD's creator, Valentina Bordenave, completing the method's three-year teacher training programme. Alongside his movement practice, he has taught theatre and the Meisner Technique and continues to explore approaches to performance that emerge from non-doing, playfulness and the suspension of fixed rules. His classes invite participants to cultivate greater awareness, ease and efficiency while expanding their possibilities for movement and self-expression.
