Body landscapes
DE+EN | Serie 7 x Thursday
Seven excursions into the moving body
What do our feet teel us, which have already broken new ground?
Together we will go on excursions, jaunts, walks and tours through our bodies and encounter the different qualities and strengths that lie hidden within them. The treasure hunt will definitely be successful, because the possibilities to be discovered are numerous and varied. In this course, we playfully explore different movement qualities and immerse ourselves in a somatic sensory field. We experience and connect with our own body landscapes in a creative, both guided and free space.
Exercises and movement improvisations from different body practices such as Somatic Yoga, Feldenkrais, contemporary dance meet creative writing, doodling or painting. We explore alone, in pairs and in groups.
How do our spines want to move so that we feel upright and self-confident? How stable and powerful are our legs and how do we stay balanced? Where do our shoulder blades want to fly? And what kind of feeling is the gut feeling?
Through mindful movement, somatic bodywork has the potential to experience mindfulness, bring order and lightness to chaotic thoughts or feelings, strengthen a trusting relationship with the body, harmonize body and mind, promote coordination and healthy posture, relieve tension and pain, improve health and well-being, stimulate creativity and imagination, regulate the nervous system and experience relaxation, allow time out from everyday life.
