- Open stage readings with Undine Eberlein
Lesebühne Denkwerkstatt mit Undine Eberlein
PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION: this time, the reading stage will not take place directly at the Somatic Academy (1st HH) but at 2nd HH, Centre for Yoga and Voice – please ring the bell at Yoga and Voice 4 and then go to 2nd HH, 4th floor.
In this new and experimental format of evening events, we want to combine literary readings, theoretical reflection and joint discussion on central questions of the present. The aim is to create a space for experiences and creative exchange of a performative, aesthetic and philosophical nature.
The first two evenings of ‘Odyssey of Consciousness’ are dedicated to the much-discussed topic of ‘consciousness.’ Among other things, we will explore the controversial relationship between consciousness, body and brain, as well as the significance of non-everyday states of consciousness and modes of experience and cognition.
Theme of the evening
Undine Eberlein and Somatic Stories I: Early Body Experience and Resonance
How do we encounter the world with our sensing, feeling body, and how does it encounter us? How do we experience our first desires, how do we experience love, even before we have a language for it? After a reading of excerpts from the first of five “somatic love stories” from my novel project “Vom Leichtsinn der Seesterne” (The Recklessness of Starfish), we will discuss these questions and experiences.
Further dates and topics can be found under “Detailed Information”.
