Societal demands and the special situation of the pandemic leave the nervous system and thus our entire organism in an almost permanent state of agitation. Self-protection in this context shows itself for example in an increased body tone.

My wish in this challenging time is to create a space in which mindful sensing is possible. Giving the body space to show itself and to express itself in movement is a way to regulate stress.

With the somatic method Body-Mind Centering®, I invite you to sense and feel yourself through specific visualization, which then can be brought into movement and expression. It is through exploring cellular structures and working with tone and gravity that the body is invited to self-regulate itself.

For the class, you will need some space, a warm room, and a blanket. We will spend little time in front of the screen. Only at the beginning and end will we gather for check-in and exchange. The rest of the time we will turn our awareness to the inner realm of our bodies.
